Mission Profile
The Hückel-Winkler I (HW I) was a single-stage German experimental liquid-fuelled rocket, one of the earliest European liquid propellant rockets. Standing just 0.6 m tall with a 0.1 m diameter and a mass of 5 kg, it was a small-scale technology demonstrator. First flying on 14 March 1931 near Dessau, Germany, the Hückel-Winkler I was built by Johannes Winkler and achieved a brief flight, making it one of the first successful European liquid-fuelled rocket launches alongside the work of Goddard and the VfR.
