Mission Profile
The Hyperbola-1 (Shuang Quxian 1, SQX-1) is a four-stage Chinese solid-fuelled launch vehicle in the iSpace family, the first privately-developed Chinese rocket to reach orbit. Standing 24 m tall with a 1.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 42 tonnes, it could deliver 300 kg to low Earth orbit. First flying in July 2019, the Hyperbola-1 marked a milestone for China's commercial space sector when it successfully placed a satellite into orbit on its maiden flight, demonstrating that Chinese private companies could achieve orbital launch capability.
