Mission Profile
The Minotaur IV (Peacekeeper SLV) was a four-stage American launch vehicle derived from decommissioned Peacekeeper ICBM motors in the Minuteman family, designed to provide a cost-effective way to launch small-to-medium satellites using surplus military hardware. Standing 23.9 m tall with a 1.7 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 36.2 tonnes, it generated 1,600 kN of first-stage thrust and could deliver 1,735 kg to low Earth orbit. First flying in September 2010, the Minotaur IV has served US government missions requiring responsive, dedicated launch of small military and scientific payloads.
