Mission Profile

The Veronique 61M (Véronique 61M) was a single-stage French sounding rocket in the Veronique family, an advanced variant of France's pioneering liquid-fuelled research rocket series. Standing 7.2 m tall with a 0.6 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 1.5 tonnes, it generated 44 kN of thrust. First flying in March 1966, the Veronique 61M continued France's tradition of indigenous rocket development that had begun in the 1950s, supporting upper atmosphere and space science research.
