Mission Profile
The Titan III BAS2 (Titan III BAS-2) was a proposed three-to-four-stage American launch vehicle in the Titan family, a concept study variant using Titan IIIB core with large solid strap-on boosters. Standing approximately 42 m tall with a 3.1 m core diameter and a liftoff mass of 626 tonnes, it would have generated 10,680 kN of liftoff thrust. Conceived around 1970, the Titan III BAS2 was studied as a potential high-performance variant but was not developed beyond the concept stage.
