Mission Profile

The Delta 3910 (Thor-Delta 3910) was a two-to-three-stage American launch vehicle in the Delta family, featuring nine Castor IV solid rocket augmentation motors for enhanced first-stage performance. Standing 35.4 m tall with a 2.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 195 tonnes, it generated 3,310 kN of liftoff thrust and could deliver 2,700 kg to low Earth orbit. First flying in February 1980, the Delta 3910 provided a flexible mid-range capability and served as the basis for several PAM-equipped variants used throughout the 1980s.
