Mission Profile

The Themis Demonstrator (ArianeGroup Themis, Prometheus Engine Demonstrator) is a proposed single-stage European reusable launch vehicle technology demonstrator in the Ariane family, designed to flight-test the Prometheus low-cost reusable engine and vertical landing techniques under the Themis programme. With a speculative first flight around 2027, the Themis Demonstrator is being developed by ArianeGroup to validate reusability concepts that may be incorporated into future European launch vehicles beyond Ariane 6.
