Mission Profile

The UR-100 (8K84, SS-11 Sego) was a two-stage Soviet intercontinental ballistic missile in the UR-100 family, designed as a lightweight, mass-producible ICBM for deployment in hardened silos. Standing 16.9 m tall with a 2 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 42.3 tonnes, it generated 442 kN of first-stage thrust. First flying in July 1967, the UR-100 became the most numerous Soviet ICBM, with over 1,000 deployed at peak strength, forming the backbone of the Soviet strategic deterrent through the 1970s.
