The HEAT-1X (Hybrid Exo Atmospheric Transporter 1X) was a single-stage Danish amateur rocket developed by Copenhagen Suborbitals, one of the world's most ambitious amateur spaceflight projects. Standing 6 m tall with a 0.6 m diameter, it was a hybrid-propellant suborbital vehicle. First flying in June 2011, the HEAT-1X represented an early step in Copenhagen Suborbitals' long-term goal of launching a human on a suborbital flight using entirely privately-funded, open-source rocket technology.
