Mission Profile

The Proton-M Blok DM (8K82M Blok DM) was a four-stage Russian launch vehicle in the Proton family, pairing the modernised Proton-M core with the Blok DM upper stage for high-energy orbit delivery. Standing 58.2 m tall with a 7.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 705 tonnes, it generated 10,040 kN of liftoff thrust and could deliver 5,600 kg to geostationary transfer orbit. First flying in December 2007, the Proton-M Blok DM variant served Russian government navigation and communications satellite programmes including GLONASS deployment.
