Mission Profile
The Aerobee 150 was a two-stage American sounding rocket in the Aerobee family, one of the most prolific research rocket series in history. Standing 9.4 m tall with a 0.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 900 kg, it generated 18 kN of thrust. First flying in February 1959, the Aerobee 150 was extensively used by NASA, the US military, and university researchers for upper atmosphere studies, solar observations, and microgravity experiments, becoming a foundational tool of the early Space Age.
