Mission Profile

The Delta 3910 PAM D (Thor-Delta 3910/PAM-D) was a three-stage American launch vehicle in the Delta family, combining the Delta 3910 core with a Payload Assist Module-Delta upper stage for geostationary transfer capability. Standing 35.4 m tall with a 2.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 195 tonnes, it generated 3,310 kN of liftoff thrust and could deliver 1,085 kg to geostationary transfer orbit. First flying in November 1980, the Delta 3910 PAM D was widely used for deploying commercial communications satellites in the early Shuttle era.
