Mission Profile

The Delta 2913 (Thor-Delta 2913) was a three-stage American launch vehicle in the Delta family, using nine Castor II solid rocket augmentation motors and a TE-364-3 third stage for enhanced performance. Standing 35.4 m tall with a 2.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 195 tonnes, it generated 3,310 kN of liftoff thrust and could deliver 900 kg to geostationary transfer orbit. First flying in August 1975, the Delta 2913 launched commercial and government communications satellites during the expanding era of geostationary spacecraft.
