Mission Profile

The Space Launch System (SLS) Block 2 is the ultimate evolution of NASA's super heavy-lift launch vehicle, designed to enable deep-space exploration to the Moon, Mars, and beyond. Upgraded from the Block 1 and 1B configurations, it utilizes advanced Booster Obsolescence and Life Extension (BOLE) solid rocket boosters and the powerful Exploration Upper Stage (EUS). This configuration provides the tremendous thrust required to deliver massive payloads, making it the primary workhorse for the later stages of the Artemis program's crewed and cargo missions.
