Mission Profile

The Angara 1.2 PP (14A110, Perviy Pusk) was a two-stage Russian launch vehicle and the maiden flight configuration of the Angara family, a modular rocket system designed to replace Soviet-era launchers with an all-Russian supply chain. Standing 41.5 m tall with a 2.9 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 171 tonnes, it generated 1,920 kN of first-stage thrust and could deliver 3,800 kg to low Earth orbit. First flying in July 2014 on a suborbital demonstration mission, the Angara 1.2 PP validated the Universal Rocket Module concept that underpins the entire Angara family.
