Mission Profile

Long March 2C (CZ-2C) is a reliable two-stage Chinese launch vehicle derived from the DF-5 ICBM, designed for low Earth and sun-synchronous orbit missions. Standing 42 meters tall with a 233-tonne launch mass, it first flew on 9 September 1982 and has accumulated one of the longest operational records in the Long March family. It remains in active service frequently used for Chinese government reconnaissance and environmental satellites.
