Mission Profile
Aerobee RTV-N-10 is an early variant of the Aerobee sounding rocket family developed by Aerojet and JHUAPL for upper-atmosphere research. First launched in January 1950, it stood just 6 meters tall and weighed 750 kg, propelled by a 12 kN sustainer engine to conduct scientific measurements above the sensible atmosphere. The Aerobee family became the most widely used American sounding rocket of its era, laying the foundation for decades of upper-atmosphere and early space science.
