Mission Profile

Cyclone-4M (Tsyklon-4M) is a Ukrainian-Canadian commercial launch vehicle concept, a modernized three-stage descendant of the Soviet R-16 ICBM heritage designed for launches from a new commercial launch site at Canso, Nova Scotia, Canada. Standing 38.7 meters tall with a liftoff mass of 229,000 kg and generating 2,740 kN of thrust, it is designed to deliver up to 5,500 kg to low Earth orbit. Development began in 2022 and the program represents a collaboration between Ukrainian industry and Maritime Launch Services, aiming to give Canada its first orbital launch facility. The vehicle retains the Cyclone's heritage of using storable propellants while incorporating modern avionics and an upgraded upper stage.
