Mission Profile

Long March 3B/E (CZ-3B/E) is an enhanced variant of China's primary heavy-lift geosynchronous launch vehicle, featuring extended propellant tanks on both the liquid-fueled core and the four liquid strap-on boosters to significantly increase payload capacity to GTO. Standing 56.3 meters tall with a liftoff mass of 456,000 kg and generating 5,923 kN of thrust across its three stages, it is one of China's most powerful operational rockets. Since its first flight in May 2007, it has become the backbone of China's commercial and governmental heavy satellite launch program and has lofted interplanetary spacecraft including the Chang'e lunar missions, cementing its status as a cornerstone of China's space launch capability.
