Mission Profile

Kuaizhou 21 (KZ-21) is a planned Chinese commercial large solid-propellant launch vehicle being developed by ExPace Technology as the heavy-lift member of the Kuaizhou family, targeting a first flight around 2030. Designed to carry medium-to-heavy payloads with two solid stages, it would represent a major capability increase over the existing Kuaizhou 1A and Kuaizhou 11, competing in the Chinese commercial heavy-lift market alongside liquid-fueled rockets. The KZ-21 reflects China's strategy to develop all-solid heavy-lift options for rapid deployment of large government and commercial satellite payloads.
