Mission Profile

The Kuaizhou 1A Pro (KZ-1A Pro) is a Chinese commercial four-stage all-solid launch vehicle operated by ExPace Technology, an enhanced version of the Kuaizhou 1A offering improved payload capacity and reduced cost for small to medium satellite delivery. Making its maiden flight in April 2024, the KZ-1A Pro builds on the Kuaizhou bus technology proven by its predecessor to provide rapid-response dedicated launch services from road-mobile launch platforms. The vehicle serves China's growing government and commercial small satellite market, including national security and Earth observation constellation customers requiring short preparation times.
