Mission Profile

The Long March 12B (CZ-12B, 长征十二号乙) is a planned enhanced variant of China's Long March 12 medium-lift launch vehicle, designed with a two-stage liquid-propellant architecture and improved performance over the baseline Long March 12 and Long March 12A configurations. Targeting its first flight in mid-2026, it extends the Long March 12 family's capabilities to serve a broader range of China's commercial, government, and military satellite deployment requirements. The Long March 12B continues CASC's approach of developing multiple rocket variants from common core stages to optimize cost and performance across different payload classes and orbital regimes.
