Mission Profile

The Vulcan Centaur 0L (VC0L) is a variant of United Launch Alliance's Vulcan Centaur rocket featuring no solid rocket strap-on boosters and a long Centaur upper stage, designed for lighter payloads that do not require additional thrust augmentation. Standing 61.6 m tall with a 5.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 228 tonnes, it generates 4,900 kN of thrust from two BE-4 engines and can deliver 5,400 kg to low Earth orbit. Planned under the National Security Space Launch Phase 3 contract, the 0L configuration expands Vulcan Centaur's operational flexibility across a broader range of lighter national security and commercial payloads.
