Mission Profile
The Long March 6C (CZ-6B) is a Chinese medium-lift launch vehicle featuring a hybrid architecture combining liquid-fueled core stages with solid strap-on boosters, providing enhanced flexibility for a wide range of sun-synchronous orbit missions. Standing 43 m tall with a 3.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 215 tonnes, it generates 2,962 kN of first-stage thrust and can deliver 4,500 kg to sun-synchronous orbit. First flying in May 2024 from Taiyuan, the Long March 6C provides CASC with a versatile medium-lift option for China's growing Earth observation, commercial, and constellation deployment requirements.
