Mission Profile

Gravity 1 (Yinli-1) is a Chinese commercial four-stage large solid-propellant launch vehicle developed by Orienspace, designed to offer the highest payload capacity of any all-solid rocket developed to date. Standing 30 m tall with a 3.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 405 tonnes, it generates 5,900 kN of first-stage thrust and can deliver 6,500 kg to low Earth orbit. Achieving orbit on its maiden flight in January 2024, Gravity 1 became China's most capable all-solid rocket, demonstrating that solid-fueled vehicles can compete with liquid-fueled alternatives for medium-lift commercial satellite deployment.
