Mission Profile

Eris-1 is a two-stage small satellite launch vehicle developed by Gilmour Space Technologies, designed to be Australia's first domestically developed orbital launch vehicle capable of carrying payloads from Australian launch facilities. Targeting its maiden flight in 2025 from the Bowen Orbital Spaceport in Queensland, Eris-1 features hybrid propulsion on its first stage combined with liquid propellants on the second stage. As the first orbital rocket developed in Australia, Eris-1 represents a significant milestone for Australian sovereign space access capability and the country's emerging commercial space industry.
