Mission Profile

Vikram-I is India's first orbital-class private launch vehicle, developed by Skyroot Aerospace as the follow-on to the suborbital Vikram-S demonstrator and India's first attempt at commercial orbital launch services. Standing 22 m tall with an all-solid three-stage design and a liftoff mass of 45 tonnes, it can deliver 480 kg to low Earth orbit for small satellite missions. Planned for its maiden orbital flight in late 2026, Vikram-I marks a milestone in India's growing commercial space industry and the broader ambition to establish private sector launch capability alongside ISRO's government programs.
