Mission Profile
The Long March 3C/E (CZ-3C/E) is an enhanced variant of the Long March 3C with an upgraded third stage for increased geostationary transfer orbit and higher-energy mission performance, operated by CASC for China's high-orbit programs. Standing 54.8 m tall with a 3.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 345 tonnes, it generates 4,443 kN of combined thrust using a cryogenic third stage powered by liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen. Since its first flight in October 2014, the Long March 3C/E has supported China's lunar exploration program and the launch of high-performance communications satellites requiring precision orbit insertion.
