Mission Profile

Rocket 3.3 (designated LV0010 and later vehicles) was the final iteration of Astra Space's small satellite launch vehicle, featuring incremental refinements to the unusual cluster-engine first stage design of the Rocket 3 series. Standing 11.6 m tall with a 1.8 m diameter, the two-stage vehicle was designed to deliver small payloads to low Earth orbit at competitively low cost. Despite achieving orbit on its November 2021 debut, Rocket 3.3 was retired in 2022 as Astra pivoted its focus away from small orbital launchers toward satellite propulsion systems.
