Mission Profile

The Proton-M Briz-M is the most advanced operational configuration of Russia's Proton heavy-lift rocket family, pairing the modernized Proton-M three-stage booster with the high-performance Briz-M restartable upper stage. Standing 58.2 m tall with a 7.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 705 tonnes, its four-stage configuration generates 10,040 kN of thrust and is optimized for delivering heavy communications satellites to geostationary transfer orbit. Since its first flight in April 2001, it became one of the world's most commercially successful heavy-lift launch vehicles, serving both Russian government and international commercial customers over more than two decades.
