Mission Profile

The Long March 4C is a Chinese three-stage medium-lift launch vehicle derived from the Long March 4B, featuring an enhanced third stage for greater mission flexibility at higher orbit insertion energies. Standing 45.8 m tall with a 3.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 250 tonnes, it generates 2,962 kN of liftoff thrust and can deliver 4,200 kg to low Earth orbit. Since its maiden flight in April 2006, the Long March 4C has been a workhorse for China's Earth observation, meteorological, and oceanographic satellite programs.
