Mission Profile

Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Launch Complex 19 (LC-19) was the primary launch pad for the Titan I and Titan II ICBM programs and served as the launch site for all ten Gemini crewed missions aboard Titan II GLV (Gemini Launch Vehicles) between 1964 and 1966. The Gemini missions launched from LC-19 included Ed White's first American spacewalk (Gemini 4), the first American rendezvous (Gemini 6A/7), and the first docking of two spacecraft in orbit (Gemini 8). The pad was demolished after the Gemini program ended, leaving only the concrete flame trench visible today as a historical feature of the Cape. LC-19's 10 crewed Gemini missions made it one of the most productive human spaceflight pads in history despite its relatively brief operational period.
